Mina Mirjalili is conducting research on deficits in working memory capacity which has been shown to be common in mild cognitive impairment. Her investigations are focused on the association between frontal theta event-related synchronization and parietal alpha event-related desynchronization with working memory.  She used her travel fellowship to virtually attend and present a poster at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference, on September 26th to 30th, 2021.

Medulloblastoma is the most common malignant brain tumour of childhood, affecting 60-80 Canadian children per year. The treatment for medulloblastoma comprises surgery, followed by radiation to the entire brain and spinal cord, and high doses of non-specific chemotherapy.
