We are proud to announce that Brain Canada’s Chair, Naomi Azrieli was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from McGill University at the Fall Convocation held on November 26th. In his introduction of Dr. Azrieli, Dr. David Eidelman, Vice-Principal, Health Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University, said she has “devoted herself to multidisciplinary collaborative initiatives, and in particular to those that nurture talent at early stages of their careers”. Dr. Azrieli’s message to the graduates was that “the solutions to the world’s problems are unlikely to be found in the ‘system’  or through government alone, but by the actions of creative, compassionate individuals who believe they can make a difference and are not afraid to fail”. We extend a heartfelt congratulations to Naomi on this much-deserved recognition of her visionary leadership and many thanks to her for being a passionate champion of support for brain research.
