2019 Dr. Hubert van Tol Travel Fellowship
Project Overview
My time in the Courtine laboratory provided an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in the application of scRNA-seq to understand the pathobiology of SCI, through two different projects. The first project, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, seeks to establish a cross-species molecular atlas of SCI, at a single-cell level. In the Courtine
laboratory, I was able to contribute directly to the acquisition and initial analysis of the first sequencing libraries for this project, including uninjured zebrafish and primate spinal cords as well as injured and uninjured mouse spinal cord parenchyma, and I helped to lead the initial computational analysis of the resulting data.
