Brain Canada and Cancer Research Society Fund New Brain Cancer Research

Brain Canada is pleased to announce that, in partnership with the Cancer Research Society (CRS), it will fund four outstanding research projects focused on brain cancer. The recipients of the 2024 Operating Grants will each receive $130,000 over two years to support their vital work.

Grant Recipients

• Tommy Alain, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute 
• Marc-Étienne Huot, Université Laval 
• Nada Jabado, Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre 
• Tanveer Sharif, University of Manitoba 

This funding program is part of Brain Canada and CRS’ ongoing efforts to support research aimed at improving the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer, while enhancing our understanding of this complex disease. 

In total, The Cancer Research Society (CRS) will fund 100 Operating Grants this year.
