The role of attention control and emotional regulation in the emergence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD): Identifying early behavioral markers of ASD in at-risk infants
Project Overview
Ms. Raza’s research focuses on early development in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), with the goal of identifying behavioral and physiological markers in at-risk infants. She is interested in the role early attention and emotional regulation play in the emergence of autism, and anticipate that my research will shed light on the initial signs of ASD and provide insight into its diversity. Identifying these risk markers may advance early detection and diagnosis, as well as inform new avenues for intervention that may reduce or even prevent clinical expression of ASD.
