Mina Mirjalili is conducting research on deficits in working memory capacity which has been shown to be common in mild cognitive impairment.

Aberrant tRNA processing and function has the capacity to exacerbate misfolding of ALS-associated proteins and the ensuing toxicity.

The overarching aim of Ms Morena’s research is to investigate the role of the endocannabinoid system in the modulation of memory processes and its interaction with stress and emotional arousal in animal models of cognition, at a cellular, circuit and behavioural level.
