Courtney Bannerman is a doctoral candidate at Queen's University who is conducting research to better understand how the nervous system interacts with the immune system during spinal cord injury pain and  those interactions can be changed to offer patients pain relief.

Sara de la Salle’s, a postdoctoral fellow at University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research,  research assessed differences in brain electrical responses to target, distractor, and trauma-related (e.g., gunshots, screams) sounds, and examined their relationship with symptoms in individuals with dissociative and non-dissociative PTSD subtypes.
