The McConnell Brain Imaging Center: A world-renowned multidisciplinary platform dedicated to brain research using multimodal neuroimaging and neuroinformatics

Thanks to the late Dr. William Feindel’s vision, who in the 1970’s believed that brain imaging was the “future for neurology and neurosurgery”, and to a generous donation, the Montreal Neurological Institute (The Neuro) inaugurated the McConnell Brain Imaging Center (BIC) in 1984.

The McConnell Brain Imaging Centre: a Hub of Scientific Excellence for Translational Neuroimaging

The McConnell Brain Imaging Centre (BIC) is a major platform and research centre entirely dedicated to brain imaging. It features 7 multimodal imaging core units (MRI, PET, MEG, EEG for humans and disease models), comprehensive high-performance computing and data storage resources, and prominent expertise in biomedical image and signal analysis.
