Supine cycling with lower body negative pressure: a novel treatment for concussion
Aperçu du projet
The main aim of this project is to examine the efficacy of the non-pharmacological intervention of lower body negative pressure (LBNP) with head up tilt on cerebral blood flow and concussion symptoms during exercise in individuals with persisting symptoms. The non-pharmacological exercise-related treatment strategy will reduce concussion symptoms during exercise and thus enable participants to perform exercise: A) at a higher intensity without increasing symptom burden, and B) for a longer period of time before concussion symptoms develop during an incremental exercise protocol.
